This is my newest commission. I'm really pleased with the reaction of the young lady.
Her Mom hired me to create a piece for her birthday and warned me the girl suffers from some self esteem issues. So I purposefully didn't exaggerate her too much.
I'm aware this is a bone of contention for some caricaturists and there's definitely a fine line between exaggerating your model and making your customer happy.
To me making my customers happy is just as important if not more important than exaggeration. I love my customers and want them to be happy with my work.
I tailor each drawing to the person I'm drawing. If they can take exaggeration then I give it to them. If they can't, I don't.
