A Big Company Christmas Party Fail
Just the other day I went to a Christmas Party.
As an entertainer, I've been to a LOT of Parties.
This one was SO BORING.
No decorations, no entertainment, not even any music!
All they had was food.
I turned some Christmas music on my phone to try to give
the room SOME sort of festive atmosphere. Of course it wasn't very loud,
but it was better than nothing.
Needless to say, everyone left as soon as they were finished eating and
it was a big bust.
I stayed to help clean up and wound up talking to the hostess. Turns out she hadn't known I
draw Caricatures at parties to make them more lively - and give people
a reason to stick around!
She promised she'd hire me next time - if there is a next time. Poor thing.
That left a very bad taste in her mouth.
I can see why too.
To spend all that time and money only to have people only stay long enough
to gobble up your food is disappointing to say the least.
